Testing

Before using payments via ICEPAY in a live environment, we recommend testing.
This prevents potential issues.

A merchant (usually a website) has two modes:
- Test
- Production

By default, a merchant is in test mode.
When you start a payment, you will see a simulated payment page (this may vary depending on the payment method and API).

In the Portal, you can find the test payments under Tools & Services > Test Transactions Contact us at info@icepay.com if you are using WooCommerce and want to see test payments in the Portal.

Once testing is completed, you can do 2 things:

1. Put the merchant into production.
2. Create a new merchant for production.

The OrderID must be unique when creating a transaction. If you start with a new database on your live environment, we recommend creating a new merchant.
