Testing

A merchant (usually a website) has two processing modes:

• Test
• Live

By default, a Merchant is in test mode

Before using payments via ICEPAY Platform in a live environment, we recommend testing.
This prevents potential issues.
In test mode, all payment methods are available.

Payment flow

When a Merchant is in test processing mode, the payer will be directed to the ICEPAY Payment Page (or first to the ICEPAY Checkout Page if no Payment Method is provided) where a Payment Status can be selected for the test payment.

Test Payments in the ICEPAY Portal

In the ICEPAY Portal, you can find the test payments in the Intents menu.
In the menu Payments you find the payments that are processed in live modus

Going live

Once testing is completed, you have 2 options:

1. Switch merchant mode to Live
2. Create a new merchant, switch the new merchant to live and replace your API key in your integration.
